First day of New York Fashion Week, my feet were already sore from walking for a prolonged period of time in heels the night before so I had my heels in my bag and wore my boots to Lincoln Center. Before I was able to switch shoes, I was snapped by a few street style photographers and later on during the day, I fell face flat at the CVS pharmacy in these boots which I think was quite ironic. During the next few days, I either wore pants or a huge band aid.

Tory Burch Spring 2012
Emphasizing on special details, Tory Burch's first runway show was a huge success and a show not to be missed. With Arizona Muse opening the runway with dainty music playing in the background, I felt like I was watching a Parisian movie full of young, fun, classy ladies on vacation. My personal favorite was the raffia trim jacket with the matching bejeweled top with the absolutely adorable bow kitten heels. I loved every one of the shoes that the models wore and even though I have no patience for golf, if I had those golf shoes I might just have to start playing golf.
I was also lucky enough to attend the opening of her Madison Avenue store the day before the runway and was blown away with all the great details and decor. The store is filled with color and prints and feels like your in the most stylish woman's town house. It's quite hard to go from one room to another because you spend so much time taking in all the great decor in one room only to be blown away by the next room. The first carpet above was apparently inspired by Tory's mother's bathing suit! How awesome is that?
Definitely stop by her 797 Madison Store!

Concept Korea
For four seasons in a row, Concept Korea has selected a few South Korean designers to showcase their collections at Lincoln Center. It was one of the few presentations that Wesley Mason and I were both able to enjoy as there was also menswear. The menswear you see here is Resurrection by Juyoung, and I wanted to make a smaller version of each and everyone of her pieces so that I could wear it. The wetsuit-like blazer was too good to pass, not to mention the bright orange color that was striking. Another favorite of mine were the colorful and cheery prints by the designers Steve J & Yoni P. What I'd give to wear the matching blazer, top, and shorts with the green clutch.
I've never paid much attention to Korean designers, but after this presentation, I'm quite interested in seeing more and could totally picture all of these designers becoming mainstream.
Perfect Backdrop
(Lush Dress, Vintage Renoir Copper Belt, Guiseppe Zanotti Lace Up Heels, Rebecca Minkoff Clutch)
Can't get over how beautiful this dress is. With its multilayers, pleats, and unfinished hem, it's perfect for slightly windy days like this day. I love how Fashion Week gives people a reason to dress up, otherwise when and where else would I wear a dress like this?
New York Fashion Week So Far
(Vintage Hat, Anarchy Street Gillian Cut-out shirt, Urban Outfitters Plaid Jeans, Isabel Marant Gava Pumps, Chanel Bag)
Had an amazing time at the Concept Korea presentation yesterday (review coming soon) and was so honored to be there to support the very talented Korean fashion designers, as a fellow Korean (for those who always wondered, I'm mostly Korean and part Japanese.)
It's definitely an awesome experience being able to attend different shows and see all of these amazing designers and models in person. I can't wait to share more of my pictures and reviews of my favorite shows, soon!
New York in Motion
Time for another video blog!
I was originally going to post this video of my last month's NY trip a couple of days ago but You Tube blocked my audio and my lovely boyfriend had to dispute with Youtube that I wasn't making any profit out of the music used in the video so they finally approved the sound! YAY
Can you spot any familiar faces other than mine?
I'm currently in LA working for a few different photoshoots (details to come!) so hope you enjoy the video and have a great weekend!
Thank you all for being such amazing visitors/viewers/readers!
In Autumn Gear
(H&M coat and metallic sweater, Mom's pleated skirt from the 70's, Chloe lace up oxford platforms)
New York is such an amazing city. Although this is my third time in New York this year, it's my first time actually exploring the city and there is just so much to take in. I love seeing well dressed people on the streets, bakeries and dessert places that are opened till super late, and a freakin' zoo in the middle of central park.
So far I did some touristy stuff and walked all the way up (300+ steps) to the crown of Statue of Liberty in my chloe heels. The security guard said I was the first. haha
I guess I was the first fashion blogger. lol
Back in September
while I cope with my annoying sickness and midterms, I leave u two pictures from NYFW that I stole from Christina.
Btw, I'm going to New York next week! woo hoo
Hope you guys are staying happy and healthy!
*Edit*
I was wearing an Urban Outfitters Tank and my mom's Roberto Cavalli leopard skirt (back from the 80s I believe..) that I also wore in this post for New Years. The wedges are from Topshop.
There is a Reason for Time
(Urban Outfitters Hat, Vintage Knit Top, Anarchy Street Drapey Skirt, Dad's Louis Vuitton Belt, Gifted Botkier Ava Bag, Amrita Singh Cuff via Gilt.com)
I re-bought my lipstick and I think it works great on days like today when I feel really sick and my face tells everybody so.
The skirt I'm wearing reminded me of this skirt from Burberry Prorsum. I think it's meant to rest on the hips but u know me, I either like short skirts or long skirts, no in between. I belted it in order to make it into a high-waisted skirt but maybe in the colder days I might wear it as it is.
Btw, I stole the bottom pictures from Nicole's blog since I'm wearing the same skirt and also because I miss my Nadia + Hassan and Vanessa. They need to hurry up and move to the States!
Bright Red and Bright Blue
(BCBG Print Block Dress, NYLA Boots, Chanel Bag, Anarchy Street Spike Necklace)
This dress was actually a longer dress that only came a few inches above the knee. It was an awkward length for an average height girl like me so with the help of fabric tape and an iron, I was able to shorten it.
I was going to share the lipstick color and brand I was wearing but I can't find that lipstick anywhere! I normally don't lose things easily but on this trip to New York I lost my brand new Michael Kors sunglasses, almost lost my handbag, and now lost my new favorite lipstick.
I'm going to have to go back to Sephora to buy the same lipstick again. I'm pretty sure it was from Make Up Forever, but I'll double check.
Btw, the first image is by Jason from Citizen Couture for Harpers Bazaar. (Thank you, Jason!)
