Manila, Philippines – As a result of the increasing number of alpha females in the Asian region, a conference will be held in Manila, Philippines on February 24, 2012 – just days before Women’s Month. This conference is a timely celebration for women across the globe. Among the 196 countries, Philippines came on top as the number 1 choice of venue.

Choosing the venue is crucial to the event. Manila was chosen because of its massive marketing landscape for women. With brands emerging from different parts of the country, undoubtedly, Manila is the next “it” city.

The conference will be composed of some of the world's top business women, women leaders, entrepreneurs, and women who accomplished the fields of information technology, beauty, fashion, music, the arts, sport, science and government. The exchange of ideas will put its center of attention on what women want in terms of a holistic lifestyle as they increasingly achieve and progress towards positions of power, wealth and influence. Women at the Top 2012 actively seeks topnotch visionaries and jet-setters from different countries and from a broad array of fields and business sectors.

This conference is all about breaking boundaries and barriers, and fostering relationship among the women leaders of today. We applaud women from all over the world for liberating the female gender identity.

“The earning power of women globally is expected to reach $18 trillion by 2014. That’s more than the estimated GDPs of India and China combined. Women at the Top 2012 will uncover insights into cashing in on the expanding potential of the female purse in Asia! On top of that, Filipino women are active online shoppers: Over 50% of registered users on eBay PhiLinklippines are women, with lifestyle as the category of choice,” says Consumer Insights Director Frank Mercado. “To add, women across the globe are the number 1 consumers. 25% of Indonesia women work, and they are increasingly “taking more of a role in running big businesses. On the other hand, 9 in 10 Malaysian females cited quality as the top driver for brand loyalty, the highest percentage recorded among all 21 markets surveyed with France close behind at 87%.”

Women at the Top 2012 is the best avenue for women to share their stories and inspirations. This conference aims to highlight the progress in the lives of women around the world. The Philippines prides itself to have the world’s first woman president, Corazon Aquino.

Starbucks Coffee will release their 9th edition of their annual Starbucks Coffee planner this November 3 in all branches, and this coming 2012 it’s a new edition with 5 kinds of cover made of engineered wood (manufactured man made wood) and the size is much smaller and a size of a 7 inches computer tablet. It’s a time of the year to collect those stickers and get a free Starbucks planner 2012. I was there last night at the big unveiling together with the Starbucks bloggers group, and everyone were excited to see the new planner, and it was the star of the night.

More story and photos below

The planner is called “Starbucks Shared Planet”, it’s a theme about Starbucks commitment to doing business in ways that are good to each other and the planet, example of that are the new Starbucks branches here in Manila, were they use recycled materials, even recycle an old building and use natural energy sources, the three pillars that reflect this are ethical sourcing, environmental stewardship and community involvement.

Starbucks Shared Planet planner 2012 have:
1. Pouch – made of that coffee bean bag
2. Bookmark
3. Nine different coupons that can be used through out the year 2012
4. Engineered wood front and back cover
5. Strap – to hold and secure your planner
6. Inlay pocket – so that you can keep your mini docu, notes and the coupons
7. Calendar table note
8. Note section for every week of the month....also a space were you can doodle or draw
9. Serial number code – for tracking on where did you bought and claimed your planner
10. Engraved logo of Starbucks on the covers

Everyone can start collecting the stickers starting this November 3, 2011 up to January 8, 2012. One sticker is awarded for each beverage purchase in Starbucks, there are now two options on how to collect stickers to redeem the Limited edition planner.

option 1: Nine beverages plus eight core beverages except bottled drinks = 17 stickers
option 2: 23 core beverages except bottled drinks = 23 stickers

Blogger comment:
I think this is the best look and feature of the Starbucks planner through out that 9 years, I remember that my 1st planner was way back 2007 and it was a very bulky, big black planner, I used it heavily until I got tired and bought a new and smaller notebook, It was a start of a career for me to collect those stickers and it wasn’t so easy and I have no choice but to treat my friends with some drinks.

I’m glad that Starbucks Ph made a study after it and they started to shrink down the planner and remove the leathery cover and replace it with a prestige binding style and planner 2011 spank a new design with a die cut cover. I also learned that each county region has its own design and South East Asia branches of Starbucks has its own and shared its design, but here in the Philippines it's our limited edition design and not available in other countries.

The planner 2012 is much smaller, lighter and more space to write notes, I’ll use this Starbucks Shared Planner 2012 today because its so small and having a smaller organizer can fit inside my bag together with my gadgets and cameras.

so what do you think of the new Starbucks Shared Planet planner 2012 ?

Candy Girls expressed themselves through Post-it® 3M at Candy Fair 2011

Girls rushed to Mega Tent Events Venue last September 24, 2011 to celebrate Candy Fair 2011 showcasing a school fair themed with a lot of booths like marriage booths, fishing for compliments, garden hedge maze, message tree, giant board game, candy and sweet stores. What made it more interesting and fun? it is because of these Candy cuties like Elmo Magalona and Sam Concepcion.

I saw these huge freedom board at  Post-it® from 3M and young ladies wrote their message dedicated to these Candy cuties. As  Post-it® our number one partner in almost all of our activities like leaving notes to our desk, sticking reminders to our refrigerators and many others. This time,  Post-it® invited all Candy teens to impress their favorite Candy Cuties by writing personal notes and sticking them for the Cuties to read. I have seen different fun games on each booths and all participants won items from 3M. -------Daomisyel,www.glamourmoments.net

PRESS RELEASE
Sugar Rushed Tweens Connected with Candy Cuties through Post-it® Brand at Candy Fair ‘11

3M Philippines partners with Candy Magazine for a 2nd serving of the Candy Fair which was a success in 2010. This year, the most “note-able” Candy Cuties will yet again sweeten the Candy girls’ day at the Mega Tent Events Venue on September 24, 2011.

This year our Candy girls  get the chance to express themselves and impress their favorite Candy cuties by writing heartfelt and personal notes and posting them on the Post-it® Freedom Board where the Cuties can read them. Fun games and prizes also await Candy teens who will be participating in the fun games at the 3M booth.

For over 30 years, Post-it® Brand Notes have been the long-time study buddy of most teens. This year, Candy Girls will get to know the many uses of Post-it® Brand Notes to express themselves in their own sweet and unique way.

With the aim of making life easier and better for people around the world, 3M continues to provide quality and excellence through their innovative brands and products. Innovation is a never ending process at 3M. “3M Philippines through Post-it® Brand places great value on the youth. We at 3M always strive for excellence to give them a fun and functional means for the youth to express their ideas and their feelings,” says Haydee Casapao, head of Stationary Products and Office Supplies Division of 3M Philippines. “We are glad to have partnered with Candy Magazine this year in order to reach out to more Candy girls and give them the chance to express themselves and have even more fun at the Candy Fair.”

The Post-it® Note was invented thirty years ago as a solution without a problem: Dr. Spencer Silver developed a unique, repositionable adhesive, but the 3M scientist didn't know what to do with his discovery. Then, six years later, a colleague of Dr. Silver, Art Fry, remembered the light adhesive when he was daydreaming about a bookmark that would stay put in his church hymnal. The rest is history.

Today, Post-it® Brand boasts more than 4,000 unique products, and has become one of the most well-known and beloved brands in the world. It carries the 3M tradition of creating innovative, quality products that make people’s lives easier and better.
