Augmented Reality in the Philippines - Honda Jazz car

I don't know how many of them creates Augmented Reality here in our land, but after my blog post and challenge in our malls to have Augmented Reality, one company noticed it and they shared their latest creation with Augmented Reality tech. The first AR was launched in the launch of Honda Jazz car.

AR will be experienced when you place the Honda Jazz catalog infront of a camera and when you look at the screen, you'll see a 360 walkthrough of the Honda Jazz car. Awesome!

The company that created the AR is Imatech Corporation

I challenge our malls to have Augmented Reality!

hmm...looks like that I need to self study doing augmented reality, my first augmented reality experience is that when I took home Lindsay Lohan here at home thanks to that webcam and Marco Ecko paper and then tried that Haoson's Pokemon game on a PSP.

Sony invites you to use augmented reality "TV Size Guide" before you buy TV

This is a cool gimmick from Sony, you can now test and see virtually what will be the look of your living room, bed room or even your viewing room by using their augmented reality to test what is the best TV for your home or office. All you need to do is take a photo of your wall or your TV desk table and then print out that augmented reality paper base and then stick it in to the space were you want to see your TV, and then upload the photo you took to a website and see a virtual view of your room with a virtual TV.

How it works

The prospective TV buyer simply goes to the TV Size Guide website and follows four easy steps:

1. Download and print out a marker – this is a simple shape printed onto an A4 piece of paper that the app will recognise and transfer into your selected TV

2. Place this marker where you want your TV to go, either on a flat horizontal surface or mounted on a wall, and take a photograph of it.

3. Upload the image to Sony’s online tool and it will automatically pick up the marker, working out the appropriate scale and position for your TV. Choose different size TVs which will appear on top of the marker to find the best one for you.

4. Save your images to create a gallery of choices to compare and contrast.
