iPhone4s camp out countdown to launch in the Philippines by SMART and Globe
Okay! I don't know where to attend the launch party tonight. Globe will have the countdown to launch from 8pm-midnight at the Ayala Museum while SMART will have their own in Rockwell Powerplant Mall ( I heard that they rented the whole mall and will be closed down for the party ) from 8pm-4am. Free food and booze to all attendees.
Hmm...since its an all nighter event, I think I can drop by to both parties and see what they have in there.
International DJ like Kascade will perform for the Globe party, while DJ Fiasco and Dupri will perform for the Smart party. I saw also on the site page of Smart that registrant for iPhone4S are allowed to enter and attend the party awwwww.

photo coverage: Lenovo Year-End Appreciation Party
Its my first time to attend a party organized by Lenovo, it seem that the netbook just took off after a year and the rise of tablets and ultrabooks are the new trend for the next coming years, Lenovo showed us their latest fashionable, stylish, slim and ultraportable "Ideapad U300s Ultrabook and the new ThinkPad Tablet". Two gadgets launched at the year end apperciation party held at Dillinger in GB3.
At first, I thought it will be just a party or some kind of Christmas party, all techie bloggers, cyberpress, and tech magazines were there to join the fun at the party and see the unveiling of the two new wares of Lenovo.

IdeaPad U300s
Features of the IdeaPad U300s (its a laptop and not a tablet, since it has the word "pad") have a body size of 13.3" and 0.6 inch thin body, 16.9 widescreen HD display, 4GB DDR3 memory, 256 GB of SSD storage and it runs in a 8hour battery life that can go up to 30 days if you leave it on stand by mode (who would do that to their laptop?), a nice feature about the Lenovo RapidCharge, that can charge the laptop in fast speed to 50% energy charge in just 30 minutes, a Breatheable Keyboard, Intel advanced cooling tech that allows air to flow through the keyboard and prevent you (the user) not to get toasted when using it in long hours with a fast processor of Intel Core i7 with Intel Turbo Boost Tech 2.0. There's also a super fast boot up system that can boot your laptop's OS in just 10 seconds, thanks to the Enhanced Experience 2.0 RapidDrive SSD tech for doing a fast computing and loading of OS.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U300s will be available by early January and is priced at Php55, 995.

Lenovo ThinkPad tablet
Lenovo ThinkPad tablet is a table that transform ( hmmm familiar term) into a semi-laptop, but it depends on the user if he wants to use that Keyboard Folio for fast typing job in the tablet, the attaching keyboard has a the old traditional red tracking mouse (what do we call that reddish mouse thing?), just like an ordinary Thinkpad laptop. The ThinkPad tablet got an awesome 10.1 WXVGA (1280x800) display touch screen and weigh 0.75 kg (so light!) sporting a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. Runs on NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core mobile processor that gives a good performance for app addicts users, the tablet has micro USB port for data transferring, SD card reader, USB port and mini HDmi port. Wow! here's a tablet that will challenge other key players tablet makers.
32GB Thinkpad tablet will be available this month of December 2011 with a price of P28,000.

I miss my Flip Video camera
I miss now my Flip video camera, my video camera gadget was lost during the time of Philippine Fashion Week, and my only assumption is that the gadget slip out of my camera bag when I rode the taxi.
Photo above shows that I created an improvised head gear for cameras called "hat cams", it is inspired from the "Hat cam" maker that I saw on YouTube, I punched a hole in the visor of my cap and inserted a tripod ball screw and it can lock on with any point and shoot camera and a perfect fit for a Flip Video camera. I used this during the Cart racing in Makati. You see that I can take pics and video at the same time.
Now I don't know if ever I will purchase a new Flip video camera or buy another brand. I'm on a test with another video camera gadget and it performs the best ever quality when it comes to audio and gives a 1080HD video, the only problem is that the gadget is very pricey and video quality didn't match the backlighting video of a Flip Video camera. I will post a feature and review here soon about that new video camera gadget, some bloggers already saw me using it in a music event in Cubao.
So there you go...Flip Video. I miss you.
thanks to Jayson Biadog for taking this photo
You can now receive a video call from your favorite KPOP stars
Star Call emailed me and they introduced to me about this video call app that they provide and with this app you can send video and voice messages to your favorite KPOP stars! and in return, the KPOP stars can send back a video or voice reply or message back to you.
yes! you can have a video conference and conversation with them in real time!
Star Call introduces this new concept of communication service in connecting fans and KPOP stars. This will help the fans get in touch with their KPOP favorites and also get first feedback from fans and how they love their act and music.
Now I imagine that I receive a hello greetings from Girls Generation, or a flying kiss video message from 2nE1 or U-Kiss.. (lol) I'm glad that the Star Call app is available in iOS and Android, I'm going to try and see how much they charge for a video message service. I hope next time they open up a Star Call with Korean drama stars! and if they expand...hope they go to Hollywood too.

Augmented Reality in the Philippines - Honda Jazz car
I don't know how many of them creates Augmented Reality here in our land, but after my blog post and challenge in our malls to have Augmented Reality, one company noticed it and they shared their latest creation with Augmented Reality tech. The first AR was launched in the launch of Honda Jazz car.
AR will be experienced when you place the Honda Jazz catalog infront of a camera and when you look at the screen, you'll see a 360 walkthrough of the Honda Jazz car. Awesome!
The company that created the AR is Imatech Corporation
thanks to BMJusay for posting a comment here in my blog and sharing that their company can create AR for your brands.. awesome!! (more videos here )
Genius EasyPen M506 drawing tablet (priced at P5,895)
Here's the come back of Genius as one of the popular brands in creating input devices since the boom of mouse. I've been seeing some Genius brand drawing tablet in the market with an affordable price, although that I'm very exposed on the other brand for drawing tablets, but many people still prefer getting Genius because of its lower price compare to high end drawing tablets. For amateurs and professionals in the drawing and designing industry, some of them uses Genius. This new version, the Genius EasyPen M506 is the best of its kind for their line of drawing tablet.
check out our feature below
I haven't tested this yet and I haven't seen also any videos and features online, but all we have is this press release roaming around the net, but I'm going to try this soon and ask where can I try and do a demo, I'm very interested in getting one for me and my wife.
The EasyPen M506 spots a 5"6" surface table, an ergonomic tablet in design that even left handers can use it. Most tablets that are being released by other brands are used by right handers and its my first time to encounter a drawing tablet that can be used by left handers. Well, I don't know if the other brands have this feature, but Genius did a great job in adding a new feature.
here are the specs:

•Pen clip for tablet
•Battery free cordless pen with 2 buttons and 1024 pressure sensitivity
•4000 high resolution LPI for precise designs
•Four express keys increase efficiency
•1024 Digital Pen-Pressure Sensitive
•Wide 4:3 Screen
•125 Report Rates (RPS)
There's a 4000 LPI and 1024 pressure sensitivity that can enable desingers to have a realistic and smooth skecting process. There are also some keys on the batteryless pen or stylus that can erase, undo, zoom in and out of your darwing screen.
