Come Monday...GamesThatGive.com

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about,  websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time.  Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.”  This is subject to change, however.  In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while.  For rants promote change, and change can be good—right?  Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

Now, before you start accusing me of goofing off, please allow me to explain. I can’t see who it is, but I can hear someone in the back snickering. Thank you, that’s better.

Anyway, a little over a week ago, my wife asked me to check out something that the company she works for is involved in. I’m not sure it what way, but what she wanted me to check out was [GamesThatGive.com].

Was that another snicker? Oh, I think it was.

Yes, the absolute truth of the matter truly is that I am pretty worthless anymore. For I haven’t been able to earn any money in over 10 years now, but this has given me an opportunity to help, albeit in a very small way.

You see, [The Greater Good Network] will donate up to ten cents for every minute played to either The Hunger Site, The Breast Cancer Site, The Rainforest Site, The Child Health Site, The Literacy Site or The Animal Rescue Site.  You can specify which one, and the 600 minutes that I played the past week was for [The Animal Rescue Site].

Okay, I know I heard something, and it sounded like a muffled snort! Do you people have any decorum about you?

Come on now, this is going for a very good cause, and there are plenty of others that desperately need your help. Besides, you might find that giving to charity in this way can be a lot of fun!
