The 30 Seconds To Mars Concert Experience
It was a wonderful evening, though it rained so hard before the start of the concert, but this didn't let the fans of 30 Seconds to Mars to falter. So as the band.

When we arrived at the concert grounds at Trinoma, the rain started to pour down, and some of the fans were afraid that the concert might get cancelled due to the bad weather. As we looked upon the stage, the concert staffs are busy trying to wipe the water off stage so that the equipments won't be damaged and the concert can start. (MORE PHOTOS AND STORY BELOW)

After waiting for almost half an hour, the staffs uncovered the equipment, signaling the start of the show. Kjwan shows up on the stage and get the fans all riled up and screaming. As they start playing, you can see the fans headbanging and singing together with the band. Surely, Kjwan knows how to start the show with a bang.

The staff removed the musical equipments and clear the center stage after the Kjwan performed which made the fans scream to dismay, thinking that the show is cancelled. It was a good bluff, as the center stage is cleared, one equipment is unveiled and revealing it as a drum set. The fans started to scream for excitement because that signaled that the show is not cancelled. After some adjustments to the equipment, The band started to show one by one. The first one to show is Shannon Leto, starting with an awesome drumbeat, next to show is Tomo with his black Gibson Les Paul guitar and lastly, the enigmatic Jared Leto shows up in the stage who donned in a black cape making the fans shout their lungs out. The first song they sang is Escape from their 3rd album "This is War."

Before Jared play the song "Hurricane" in his acoustic guitar, he thanked the audience who braved the rain and said "Philippines, IKAW NA!" It made the fans clapped their hands and requesting him to say another Tagalog word. he also thanked their Filipino fans for attending their concert even though the Incubus played last night in Smart Araneta Collesium.

Jared asked the fans who want to be on the stage with him before he play another song. 5 lucky fans were selected by Jared himself to come up to the stage. Jared asked one of the lucky fans on the stage what song they want him to play, The one of the fans requested for the song "The Kill." He also asked them what Tagalog word the fans would want to hear and one of the fans on stage whispered to him the word "Mahal" which he said aloud to the fans giving him another round of applause from the audience.

Giving another chance to other fans, Jared invited fans to get on to the stage before they playing their final song for the night "Kings and Queens."
It was a night to remember for the Filipino echelons and fans of 30 Seconds to Mars event hough they were soaked wet in the rain, the band gave one hell of a show for them, leaving them in a state of nirvana and wanting for more.

I got a chance to see them in the flesh before the concert, its a nice and lively press con with Tomo, Jared and Shannon, everything changed in me and saw that Jared is an awesome artist and now I'm a new converted fan.

The concert will be tonight in TriNoma's Mindanao Parking

The press con started when 30 Seconds to Mars entered the press con floor, Jared told the press that they will give us complimentary tickets for the concert and then he pointed to a man with a hat behind us and he said that the ticket is with him, and he joked with a light aura and said that we should not trust that guy, everyone in the room laughed and I think its a great relaxation for us, because it is the first time we see and talk with the band, I think this is also a great intro to show to us and never get a weird impression of them, and then as the microphone was passed and camera rolls, I can say that Jared, Tomo and Shannon are cool people and artist.

Jared love to see everyone to their show and he mentioned that this is their first show for the Philippines. Jared said that if everyone is sleep and into mellow, he advices that you should not come to the concert, because their music and concert will be a riot and it will be journey, there will be adventure, because they offer to us a night that will be unforgettable, during his talk, he got distracted on their music video being played on the side, and after talking he watches and stared on the projector screen while the other two members are talking with the press. When he mentioned “unforgettable, my feet wants to jump and I heart thumps and hunger to see them perform live and absorb all the energy of their music.

“We always try offer a night that is unforgettable and a night that gives people an opportunity to leave all their trouble, stresses, and problems for a while and just to be in the moment that their life to be FREE!. I’m not happy to see people wake up in the next day and slightly embarrass about themselves, just like in a bad wedding” – Jared.

and then everyone laugh!

the Q and A turned into a raffle like thing were all the questions from the press are written on a piece of paper and are picked up by the band in a big fish bowl. I didn’t wrote a question for them, because I arrived late and tired from the concert coverage last night, but if ever I knew that the questions will be raffled, I should have wrote something a question about their question and how they construct it.

After answering the 1st question, Jared joked around by spoofing some planted question like “ I’m trapped in the kitchen making noodles and they wont let me out, WHAT IS THAT? Get that fucking guy out” everyone laugh and we know it’s a joke by Jared.

Jared said that the band Incubus played last night and he said that everyone are warmed already and should prepare for their concert tonight, he expect energy, excitement, passion and some good and get crazy FILIPINO brothers and sisters.

Jared and Shannon shared their youngling years and he said that their mother played a lot of role for music and also friends who play music, and both of them love to play the record and its like what the generation is doing today, but it is different as kids today don’t listen much music.

They will come back here again if their expectations are met just like what happened to other countries, This part of the world is very magical and exotic for them, the food is also good, they love travel and experience different cultures and find good conversations about their country and this is their 1st time to travel and do an Asian tour. Jared told us that Tomo tried some pinoy street foods but then Tomo said that he won’t confess for us. And then everyone laughed.
Its an interesting panel and talk with the band, I heard from Jared that he will be releasing a photo book and art book (and joke that he even have a cook book with a title “Mars madness inside the marshmallow and outside the chocolate chip) it’s a graphic collection of photos and stuff he collected and that are posted in their website and from his blog, he mentioned that some part of the proceeds will go to charity.

about WAR theme concert, “it is easy, the war is about conflict, and war is part of our lives”, Jared said.

The big concert will be tonight and I know everyone will be set free for just a night of music and also cold wet rain falling from the sky, but I know the music and energetic performance of 30 Seconds to Mars will be the heat that warm not just the body, but also the heart and soul of each fans… its time to be FREE and leave all problems for awhile.
